IAG-2 - BGA - Digesting algae - Description
The main idea of the project is to extract the high-value components from the algae
and transfer the residue into biogas. This combination is one step into the direction
of efficient and sustainable production of energy.
Besides the research on biogas production, research will be done on the identification
of microbiological cultures in digesters. Specifically the change in cultures when
algae-residu is digested will be researched on. This part of the research is
using state-of-the-art DNA-technology.
