With the growing concerns over climate change and energy security greater interest is being shown by governments, businesses and households in the production of fuel from digesting process.

Digesting is in principal a simple technique that has been used by farmers for thousands of years.
However scaling up of these old methods has been necessary in order to cope with intensive agricultural practices, industrial production and particularly with the variety of chemical/biological substances found in modern materials. A great deal of research has been needed to make digesting an efficient option for the modern world.
Proces has been involved in this research activity and is now focusing on using its understanding of the science behind digesting to answer the questions that arise because of the specific economic and environmental factors and the chemical/biological cocktail facing each, individual digester user.
