IAD-KBDE Chickenmanure as a source of renewable energy - Description
The province of Drenthe finances the project "Chickenmanure as a source of renewable energy" to a group of companies.
The projectteam designs and builds a pilot-unit where chickenmanure will be treated before it is used
as feed in a digester. The treatment will be such that there is an increase of 220% in biogasproduction.
After the pilot tests there will be two semi-full-scale tests with digesters of two farmers in Drenthe.
The goal of the project is to design a functional chickenmanure-treatment-unit. The market will decide if the
unit is profitable....!
The digester set-up in which six chicken manure samples are being digested. Only small differences in
the digester conditions will give information on the composition of the manure.
