Digesting schedule
Bio-digesting is an anaerobic process in which micro-organisms feed on organic matter producing biogas and digested solid or slurry waste that may be utilisable as fertilizer – depending on the chemical contents, the regulatory environment and the market demand for organic fertilizer.
The schedule shows the basic layout of the simplest digester unit:
In case of a basic digester it contains of no more than a sludge holder with an exit for the gas and the sludge, plus an entrence for the feed.
